AI Receptionist for Restaurants, connected to your menu
Coming soon
An AI receptionist for restaurants answers the restaurant’s calls and messages, books tables, takes orders and answers questions about the menu, so the team does not have to stop what it is doing. IAMenu’s AI receptionist is launching and will be available soon: it will work from the same menu, reservations, orders, allergens and WhatsApp the restaurant already runs in IAMenu.
Today, inside your digital menu, the AI waiter already answers questions about dishes and allergens and takes reservations by chatting with the guest.
What will IAMenu’s AI receptionist do?
It will look after the guests who call or message the restaurant, using the information you already keep in IAMenu.

Answer the phone
It will answer the restaurant’s calls by voice, including at peak times when nobody can leave the floor.

Book tables
It will book through IAMenu’s own reservation system: your opening hours, your closed days and your rules for lead time and party size.
Coming soon
Take orders
The orders it takes will land in the same orders panel you already use with the QR menu.
Coming soon
Answer questions about the menu
It will answer from your real menu: dishes, prices, ingredients, the allergens you have published and your opening hours.
Coming soon
On WhatsApp too
It will reply to the messages guests send to the restaurant’s WhatsApp.
Why it matters that it uses your own menu
A stand-alone AI receptionist needs its own copy of your menu, your prices and your opening hours, and every change has to be made twice. IAMenu’s will work from the data you already keep: if you change a price, mark a dish as sold out or close for a bank holiday, the answer on the phone will come from there.
Allergens are suggested by the AI and verified by the restaurant; the receptionist will answer with the ones you have published on your menu.
What already works today
While the AI receptionist is on its way, this is what your restaurant can already use in IAMenu.

What to ask before choosing an AI receptionist
Does it already know your menu, or do you load it separately?
If it lives outside your menu, every change of price, dish or opening hours has to be made twice.
Do bookings and orders land where you already work?
If they go somewhere else, someone has to copy them by hand, and that is where they get lost.
Where do its allergen answers come from?
They should come from information the restaurant has checked, not from a guess.
What does it do when it does not know something?
It should be able to say it does not know and leave a message for the team.
Which languages does it answer in?
If you serve tourists, ask about the languages it actually answers in.
AI receptionist FAQ
What is an AI receptionist for restaurants?
It is an artificial-intelligence assistant that handles guests who call or message the restaurant: it answers, books tables, takes orders and resolves questions about the menu. It helps you stop missing calls at peak times without someone stuck by the phone.
Does IAMenu already answer my restaurant’s phone?
Not yet. IAMenu’s AI receptionist is launching and will be available soon; we are not giving a date until it is ready. Today, the AI waiter already answers questions and takes reservations inside your digital menu, and bookings that come in by phone are logged in the same dashboard.
How is it different from the AI waiter?
The AI waiter helps the guest inside the digital menu, once it is open on their phone, and it is available today. The AI receptionist will handle the calls and messages that reach the restaurant, before the guest opens the menu.
Will I have to load my menu again?
It is designed so you will not: IAMenu’s AI receptionist will work from the same menu, reservations, orders and allergens you already manage in IAMenu.
What can I do today to stop losing phone bookings?
Put online booking within the guest’s reach: the reserve button lives in your digital menu and in the link you share on Google or Instagram, with no per-diner commission. The AI waiter also books by chatting, and the bookings that still come in by phone are logged in the dashboard, which recognises returning guests by their number.
How much will it cost?
The terms for the AI receptionist will be published when it is available. IAMenu’s current plans and prices are on the pricing page.
How will I know when it launches?
This page will be updated on launch day, and we will also announce it in IAMenu’s product updates.
Menu, reservations and orders in one system
The AI receptionist will arrive in the same digital menu that already translates your menu, suggests allergens, takes reservations and receives QR orders.
